While the US reasoning may here rely on the 'inunderstandable reluctance of Germany to take responsibility in its' own sphere' it is likely that one day there will be intra-Nato-opposition to the US based on the rhetorical phrase 'the understandable tendency of the US to see NATO as a means to enforce genuine US interest in and around Europe' ...

I still assume that NATO interference with Azeri problems is 'way out of the sphere of reality'. I hope I am not wrong, because otherwise it would only constitute another case of irresponsible politics. Our population is, at least, not prepared to accept such a role of NATO. How should politicians take responsible decisions if the population is not even informed of the field of discussions?
