Not when the market is this oversold and many key stocks at support including the Internets set for a bounce. Add to this a noticeable recent shift in sentiment to the more negative. Bad combination to short. This is where the shorts can get their head handed to them even when after this happens the market still can resume its downtrend validating their strategy...late.

As a related thought, think of all the pain the public has encountered on this Internet stock sell off where there has been significant forced selling based on margin calls. This liquidation has been ongoing for a period of time now. Will this alter the public's participation in the markets? For it is on the backs of the public we have seen this bull market flourish to record setting levels. Allot of money has been lost out there.

Comments welcome!

PS: Now look at the market respond to the bond rally. I think the stock to watch is YHOO for the Internets.
