Thanks for the reply. What do you look at to find good short candidates - message board traffic <g>?

Re: >>I am very bearish, especially for the 2nd and 3rd tier internet stocks.<< You must be doing real well about now. Congratulations.

I am cautious myself, being mostly in cash now. Since I've done poorly at shorting I only play the long side or stay in money markets.

As far as WAVX goes it's a high risk but high potential type thing. I like the background of the head honchos so IMO there is more meat than some of these pie-in-the-sky's. Like you it's a small % of my portfolio. When you cover you may want to plow some of your profits into the long side. I sincerely doubt it'll go to zero.

Hey Archer, are you still short your WAVX?
Curiously yours,

Jesse

I agree that 3rd and 4th tier nets are dooomed...

The IPO dilution has arrived. There are too many to keep track of now. The top tier nets will be the only ones that get any real buying and holding. When insiders start to dump these 3rd tiers w/ no buyers in site, look out! They will only get brief play when theres a news or earnings release. The wake up call will be when the first of the junk nets goes bankrupt. The divergence is upon us, and i dont think we will be broad sectorwide rallys anymore. Theres only so much daytrader capital that is being used to move the nets.
