I can attest to the strange chill in the air during an eclipse. Chris and I watched an annular eclipse in New Orleans maybe 20 years ago, it was spooky. All the birds and insects got real quiet all of a sudden. It's truly weird, and if it happened without warning, it would be terrifying, it would even seem apocalyptic, watching the sun being blotted out before your very eyes. Even though the peak of totality is short, the procession of the eclipse takes what seems like a long time. I don't know if I will feel like a 93% eclipse is worth such a long trip, but I know a total eclipse certainly would be.

Hey, I am in the process of putting all the hotel confirmations and printouts about the hotels in plastic sleeves that have three hole punches, and am putting them in a three-ring binder in date order. I feel so something. Not just organized, like I'm superwoman. If only I had everything else under such good control.

Think Miletus could predict the market? Looked a bit to me like we were headed in the dumpster this morning.....
