Hi Stefan. The meeting that I was supposed to attend in the morning was re-scheduled to this afternoon so I missed most of closing action.

As far as the semis, let me copy & paste what I said to Suresh last night:
==============
All of a sudden the market is waking up to what it ignored two months ago(May/June) when early signs of rising interest rates appeared. It now cares that the telecom infrastructure stocks require higher capital(due to possible higher interest rates) to execute biz plans! OK, I see!

I am not sure why the semis haven't yet dropped either. Will the delay reaction we are seeing in the telecom stocks surface in the Semis before it is all over? I don't know. Yet, I cannot see how a company like MXIM(doubled in price since last yr) reports almost no growth (considering easy YoY comparison) and still doesn't fall.
==============

The market is stupid at times but it will eventually wake up. The problem is when it does, it blows things out of proportion.

Clint

PS, They had to run up at the end otherwise it won't be a spike-low!
