THE REAL SCOOP for TODAY-was that late leak to Tom at the nasdaq that a major brokerage house, probably Merrill, will make positive comments tomorrow. Oh, give me a break. Does anyone on here not believe that many big players knew of this rumor BEFORE it got to CNBC? What happened today was that many newer traders who have been shorting stocks, and especially internet stocks, in the last 7-10 sessions got creamed. EBAY closed more than 20 points above its days low. And we could repeat that action with many other names. The newbies who shorted got clobbered by smart traders who knew that a covering rally was imminent. There is work here for a good investigative reporter. who knew what when? And who made that call to tom costello at the nasdaq market site? Did cnbc check it out before airing it? Important questions.

hjz, Thanks for the offer of a chat room, but... I'm having a hard enough time reading all the posts on this thread, it's slowed down quite a bit the last few days, but many do post their picks here. I'm not sure if we need another chat room. Jenna is opening up a real time chat room and I'm not sure if that's going to take away from the SI thread or not. I hope not, but I don't think anyone using the chatroom is going to bother to post to SI also and I think anyone not paying for the new site may be left out. ( Jenna am I wrong here? ) It's hard enough to track everything and posting and reading from multiple sites. I hope the SI/MG thread stays as good as it is. We'll see.
