Dick -

CyberX was up just fine all day. I was able to place several trades during the heavy period in the a.m. Can't speak for CyberTrader, though I believe if CyberX was up, then quotes for everyone were up but I could be wrong.

FWIW, I left MBT last month after a year with them. I replaced Real Tick with QCharts and use CyberX for processing orders. Works much better for me. I've had significantly fewer problems with the 2 platforms combined than I had with Real Tick. So far as Penson (a) I've yet to NOT have my #'s available to me by at least 1 hour before market (b) their #'s have always tied to the penny with mine (c) no mysterious charges like the 5cents to $1.00 overcharges I routinely got from Southwest (not ECN fees, just unexplained overcharges that Steve D. told me I just 'had to eat') and (d) I'm waiting on my checks and I can write them on the same account I trade in; none of this wiring MB asking them to transfer funds from a trading acct to a checking acct. Oh yeah...so far the LATEST a confirm has arrived in the mail is 4 days which I don't consider unreasonable considering I'm 2000 miles from Penson's offices. Alas, Cyber does not provide any documentation for their daily margin reports like MB does. However, you don't need it. Very clear & straightforward.

>Was Cybertrader working well today ? I couldn't use MBT all day, and am starting to wonder if I want Southwest holding my money through the new year. - Dick

Dick, 4 days does not give one the time to really make a statement as to a program but I started the Qcharts/CyberX combo Monday and I must say they are a powerful combonation - neither has missed a beat all weak. I have used CyberX for several months now with few problems.

I had used MyTrack for over a year and for 3 months used - or tired to use, I should say - Inverstor R/T with it. IMHO, Qcharts is heads and shoulders above that combo. A surprise was in the substantially less bandwidth needed to run the program comparied to the others - don't know how they do that but it sure seems to work well.

In fairness, the problems with IRT were with the MyTrack feed and not the IRT program, which I liked very much.

I was originally going to use Inverstor R/T with the Qcharts feed but after using Qcharts I have found I have everything I want or need with it.

I have been for over a month in a trading room in which almost everyone in it is with MBT and what they have had to endure during this period of time with down servers, slow or no quotes, bad quotes and bad data is unbelievable.

Today, it was almost an hour into the trading day before they were able to trade. One trader had a maintance call of over $200,000.00 - an "error" - and another had over 6,000 shares of AMZN in his account that was not his.

I just can't see why anyone stays with them.

Although I have not used CyberTrader I do have the CD and have spent some time with the program - at this point in time, I would say the Qcharts/CyberX combo is a better product which gives one the best of both worlds.
