I have traded both at CyberCorp and at MBT, and have found MBT's RTIII platform reliability, and depth of brokerage knowledge/sophistication to be much better. I only traded at Cyber for a short while and although they are nice folks, just didn't like the platform or ECNs as much, that's somewhat a personal preference. I've found the phone support at MBT to be truly exceptional over time, and the platform to be very reliable over a long time period; there are many other traders there that agree and will vouch for this. SWS does leave a little to be desired as a clearing firm, but I've never had an errant trade show up in my account or the other problems you guys mentioned. Penson was truly a headache, on the other hand (don't get me started). I'm surprised to hear all this talk about RTIII reliability, down-time, excess charges because in over a year trading through MBT those have not been problems for me at all. For example, traded reliably yesterday and today all day with no problems, typical. RTIII is rock-solid today, how is CyberX doing today :) I use QCharts as an adjunct tool, have had it about six weeks. It is a nice charting package, great tool but my confidence in them is shaken, since their servers started sputtering and went down a week ago, and was up and down all day on a great trading day (check out their thread, you can see all the ranting and raving by their customers). As usual, they could not and would not be reached by phone except for a short, cryptic broadcast message late into the affair. Quote.com is a stretched company, their building is a few miles from my home; a small operation growing maybe faster than they can handle, from appearances. Neat product, but they don't have enough employees to answer their support lines most of the time, try getting to their tech support. On a good day, their servers can support (now 5,000) QCharts users. On a big "slam the market" day when I most need their data, I don't know if they'll be there or not. So, I haven't come to trust it yet as a primary tool... RTIII and MBT have weathered the storms well, though. Just some thoughts and FYI... I am sure CyberX has plenty of good things going for it too, but I'm happy on RTIII and you can't beat MBT's quick, responsive, and consistently great customer service! This is substantiated by many other posts across the Si threads. I'm not affiliated with any of the above; I'm just a trader with plenty of scars and brokerage experiences (my Bio is on TigerInvestor.com). -Steve
