Hello Ed,

I came across an article in internet news that outlines the AIM debate. The AOL position on this sounds almost exactly like ATHM position on open access. Here's an excerpt from the article:

"Industry analysts agree that AOL has replied to the executive's request for interoperable access to their AIM services. All an independent ISP need do to gain access to AOL's 43 million registered AIM users is strike a deal to co-brand their AIM services."

I'm kind of feeling like the mystery of open access is behind the investment community.
