Automated investor relation system!
by: Rez_D 115605 of 115607
I can see why General Magic wants to automate their investor information service.
No one in the world wants to be on the receiving end of General Magic IR department with hundreds of angry and disappointed investors. Better to have a computer take those call Steve. What brilliant move. Cheers to you indeed. Why don't you automate that board of directors too so they can automatically approve your performance bonus. Way to go Steve!

Yippee...so glad to see them putting money and effort into keeping investors in touch....I wonder if they will ever decide to keep their CUSTOMERS in touch! I've been silent for a long time due to an NDA, but finally I can speak. This management team may have outstanding vision toward technology, but when it comes to marketing, selling, and customer relations, they haven't a clue. There is no process in place to inform customers of upgrades to the system - no hype at all in an area that would help to keep their churn rate down. They have an enormous marketing department, and what have they put out lately? NOTHING. Advertising does not work when it comes out once a year, is not followed up with direct mail, or other targeted promotional campaigns.

Just yesterday we received a mail piece directing us to their website to complete a customer satisfaction survey. Too little, too late.

The only thing that will save this company is for someone to buy them out completely, and put someone at the helm that can make the tough decisions. Markman is a very nice guy, but can't seem to steer his marketing team in a direction that actually tries to sell product...

sorry for the vent - but its extremely frustrating to see a company so chock full of potential wither away to nothing.

I've been long for too long, now I'm paying for it.
