The problem with big brokerage recommendations is that they instruct their underlings to prop up the bid with small automated buys throughout the day. Brokerages make their money by placing trades before their "recommendations", but those recommendations are only followed if they seem to be accurate.

So keeping the price positive on the day of the recommendation is Job One, and they'll do anything to make it happen.

Of course, none of this is illegal, but it is quite deceptive.

It is indeed down! I hope its not "short sabotage"! Actually, even if it is, that's bad news for ebay(it would highlight ebay's vulnerability in face of an attack).
I didn't make any "trading decision" based on this information. just watchin...
