For the record, X originally went with her full "real" name. Doing that has its problems. What particular problem X experienced, I don't know, but I bet that her choice of an alias is somehow related to it.

I am really just using this as a hook for bringing up a problem that those of you using your full names here (not you, Neocon)may not even be aware of. And that is that sophisticated search engines (like google.com)will pick up many of your SI posts. Anyone who writes professionally, or whose name might appear on the net for any other reason, might be well advised to use a pseudonym. Suppose someone searching for an article you wrote, on, say, "The Importance of Marital Fidelity," should turn up one of your posts to Beltane, for example. <g>
