Thread,

Re: Bearons-Hail and farewell then. Farewell to the Internet explosion. We'll miss it. Hail to
the Internet implosion. It, too, promises to have its moments.>>

When Bearons gloats so blatantly about the collapse of the internet industry, we only know that the bottom is near (or has already hit). Barrons is the BEST contrary indicator going. When Barron's says that the internet is "real", then THAT will be the time to pull out - not now.

Stockman-- re hot air from Bearons

Thanks for the piece. It captures exactly the puling, snide, arrogant, nasty, gloating bearishness that has characterized Barrons for I don't know how long. They are absolutely consistent in this attitude, and worthless for useful commentary on investing.

What sort of adolescent pinch-mouth anal type takes that much pleasure in other people losing real money?

Sheesh! On a more positive note, I can only add that they did express perfectly my sentiments on the day I hear Barron's has gone into bankruptcy.

Sorry to get carried away there, Scott. I guess nasty gloating is infectious. ;o)

Scott, I agree with one of the replies to this post that Alan Schmuckleson should be considered a contrary indicator. The Dellheads remember how consistently he predicted Dell's demise years ago only to watch Dell soar to new highs. It must have split at least four times since he first predicted Dell's demise. This is a pure case where a little knowledge is very dangerous. The sad part is that Barrons should be able to do a lot better than ABLESON.

:o)
