Gary,

The closing paragraph's of Abelson's column were,

"The IMF thinks it's time for the Fed to tighten further, lest it wait too long to contain inflationary pressures and be forced to "raise rates more sharply," something that would boost the odds of a stock-market selloff and a "hard landing."

We can't quarrel too much with the analysis. But the fact that it comes from the IMF frankly tempts us to reexamine our bearish bias.
"

On reading this, the thought that went through my head echoed yours.

"The minute Alan turns bullish, is the minute I sell everything and hide it under my mattress." <vbg>

I plan to remain invested for a very long time.

Ian.
