"there's a lot that can be done in virtual space before going to tactual space."

Ahhaha- How true. My Net purchases are more numerous and the dollar total becomes greater each year. We in the Midwest are slow to get new products that enter the market place. Take my digital camera for instance. I did some research and decided a HP PhotoSmart C30 was what I wanted. I inquired in many of the local retail stores (Staples, Best Buy, etc.). Not even did they not have it, they weren't aware the model even existed. I contacted HP online, ordered the camera, and it was shipped two days later. The price was the same I would have paid in the stores. HP didn't even charge shipping. Why should they? What a sweet deal for them to cut out the middle man, but not try to under price the retailers.

Icicle Christmas lights? You couldn't buy them in the Quad Cities. All sold out. But they had them in Montana, and I had them three days later.

And you talk about library dust? What about the dust and moldy smells in antique stores? We drive 40 miles to find that an antique store is closed and a sign hangs in the window that says the owner is at an auction. Solution...eBay. With a quick search of the antiques we collect, and eBay may have 50 or more items. Antiques from all over the country that my wife and I would NEVER locate in area stores. All from the convenience of home.

I could go on and on. Internet shopping is big and will become bigger. An even greater gift to those confined to their home.
