I'm sure it will bounce back, BUT WHEN?

I, like some of ya'll (I'm a Texan (ggg)), expected a climb to the low 40's by now.

I caught this in the my WSJ news a couple days ago. Some of ya'll might be interested. This is in an inteview with John Manley, Senior equities stratagist at Salomon Smith Barney.

SmartMoney.com: Pharmaceutical stocks have been beaten up this year. Based on the uncertainty in that area, is health care still a solid bet?

JM: We're neutral on health care in the next year. It will be very difficult with the election in front of us and the fact that drug companies are entities politicians love to beat up. It will be very hard for drug companies to want to show good earnings knowing that good earnings or positive surprises could increase the risk of regulation or the risk of the government buying more drugs at cheaper prices. For the drug companies to be the growers we think they can be over the next five years, for the next year or so they probably have to show continued slowing earnings and on that basis we will be on the sidelines. Merck (MRK), Pfizer (PFE) and Eli Lilly (LLY) are great college education stocks but don't buy them for performance in the next 12 months.

I plan on hanging on. It can't (yes, it can) go any lower.

Good luck to all, and lets hope for the best.

Tom
