I knew that the QCharts people were a "cut above" in terms of service. A perfect example of this is the fact that your last E-mail (#3345) was posted at 2:07 AM on Sunday morning. You guys never quit!
A repeat question - is it possible to place 3 ROC's on the SAME study, e.g. a 7 day, 14 day & 21 day?
Thanks in advance.
Stan

Gibbons Burke: What is the depth of QFeeds historical data? This would be a "big" concern for me when considering its use with a third party analysis package.

Currently, my "end of day" data can go back as far as 1970.

Regards,
LG

Just loaded the latest version - went from 2.1b6 - is there any advantage to rebuilding my workspaces from scratch, or am I OK just loading them into the new version?

My email server is kaput today so let me ask here the same as i posted to Onelist.

I'm now importing ascii files from QP2 into a QC quotesheet. That's working except that I get 27 replicated listings of the same symbol, no matter if I import one symbol, ie 27 of that symbol, or a whole list ie 27 listings of each symbol in the list. What am I doing wrong?

Clarence

Gibbons, there is an extremely irritating problem with options chains that I have reported to you here, and via your data link. To date no response and no fix.

The problem appears to be wide ranging, pertains to incorrect symbols for entire months, and affects only certain months that seem to vary by the stock. In the case of NOVL and CUBE for instance, all January '00 call strikes have incorrect symbols, leaving a hole in the list as the strikes are listed with no information. In the case of TBH, all OCT calls and puts have incorrect symbols.

This problem makes the options chains near unusable for me, as I am buying/selling late year options and leaps.

Please advise as to the status of this problem.

BTW, keep up the great work with Qcharts.

Gibbons, the more I look, the more it looks like JAN and OCT options but not all stocks, perhaps most though. Take a look at the AMZN option chain...wierd stuff. As NOVL and CUBE demonstrate, the problem is not specific to wrap-around symbols.

Gibbons, a couple of questions/suggestions for future builds:

Is it possible to have an offset from the right y axis & be able to default this off the charting menu? (default of x # of bars offset)?

Could the scaling coordinates be saved w/ the default layout and the workspaces files, as these scaling are lost upon moving between workspaces?

Thanks,
Bob

Hi Gibbons

OK .. I broke down and sent you folks my VISA numbers.

I'm getting the QFeed Developer Program.

I faxed off the NDA today at about 2:45 EDT.
Subscribed to QFeed
Registered for real time updates

I'm eager to get started with my little project.

So then .. my question is when can I expect to see the package in my email?

Thanks

Gersh

BTW .. I'm going to ask Chris this question by link also.

Gibbons:

- There's an option on the alerts menu to 'backup' the alerts. Does this do anything? If not, please acknowledge. If so, how does one restore alerts?

- Which is more efficient (a) having multiple instances of QCharts running - for example, 3 - each with approximately 1/3rd of the objects one wishes to have open or (b) running one instance of QCharts with all the objects in it? Curious about efficiency both in terms of bandwidth usage as well as CPU resource usage.

- The export feature of the BAR object does not work for the Daily time frame in any of the version 2.4 builds. It works for smaller time frames and it works in version 2.3. Ray in your support area can confirm this. It would be nice if you could restore this feature in one of the 2.5 builds or, if Quote.com no longer wants to support exporting data as some of your msgs imply, then remove the menu prompts altogether so as to properly represent the software's capabilities.

Is there a problem?

i was reading through the thread and ran across this post. i am not a programer and am also a newbie to qcharts and computers in general. is there anyone out there who could help me out with some advice on how to go about figuring how to sort out in real time the symbols that are appearing on different hot lists simultaneously? my poor brain finds this seemingly simple task impossible to perform when i try to check this out during trading hours and i think it might be a useful list to have if one chooses the right hot lists to sort for concurrent symbols. thanks to anybody who has any thought or commentary on this. robert minshew

Gibbons,

I use the Institutional Ownership % information in my quote windows and wonder how often that figure is updated. Can you tell me? Is it monthly? If so, is it at any particular point in the month?
