penni, that's a blast! And Big Tex. Such memories! You are talking about the state fair guy? We went there every year and I would stand for ages looking up at Big Tex. Goddess, it was good to be born a Texan. Fireants and all. I sat on a bed when I was a kid. By the time I figured it out, they were all in my pants, even biting me on the bottom. I took a very, long epsom salt bath. Off to send a comment.

Cute article. I got into a nest of fire ants in Florida. Little suckers are annoying. Going back I had to go through them again and thought about wading in the pond but seeing the eyes and nostrils protruding out of the water changed my mind. Funny but the ants didn't bite when I went back through.
