The malls are packed because consumer credit is expanding at about 3 times the rate of growth in GNP. Like I said before, banks are loose cannons. But at the same time there has also been an increase in business supply capacity due to new equity investment and increased corporate debt...this has had an effect to limit the inflation rate in items that are "counted" by the fed. The party stops when consumer and business lending stops or moves outside of equilibrium to one another. The threat is much less than the bears want to believe.
