Since mere mortals cannot short a stock priced at less than $5, one has to assume it is the work of the bandits.

Actually it all depends on your broker. Some will let you, especially if you have a large account. I can't initiate a short under $5 in any of my accounts, though.

Don't know if ARIA really meant to get into
this but it sure looks bad. Although the short
interest has risen sharply, the stock has basically
continued it's downward trend that has been
common among many third tier biotechs. As I
argued on the ARIA thread, there are many companies
with similar drops that did not have a floorless
in place.

Regardless, I suppose the argument here and on the
ARIA thread is basically... if it walks like a duck and
talks like a duck, then it must be a duck.
