Matrix-Man, IBM and MOT make the G3. The G4 is currently only made by MOT. I went back to my sources looking for the reference that Apple G4 systems would use SDRAM but haven't come up with the source I was looking for. Smart money was on a 100 Mhz bus for the G4 systems and Apple is moving toward a Single Unified Board Architecture that as the name implies uses one board with some modifications across their product lines.

It's possible that Apple will use RDRAM in the future. As I noted to Unclewest, I expect in the future it will be the standard memory. The point that I was making is that while some companies are moving to RMBS shortly, other very technically reputable companies aren't moving to RMBS in the near term. That's because RMBS doesn't offer clear cost/performance benefits in the near term. Rich
