EdA:

There are several reasons why I depart this thread - each time I stick a toe into the stream.

One is the energy level. I do not have the equipment to wrangle over absolute irrelevancies with much fervor. e.g. The amount of time and space given to you ankles, calves, and knees is really sort of absurd - in relation to CH's tongue and roving eyes. Otherwise, maybe a hot topic - is there still razor stubble, or are the lovelies as smooth as a baby's ass.

Another is the acknowledgment given to idiots. (This was one of my, years ago, interests in participating. I have changed.) There is a repulsive mixture of bombastic and pedantic fools who use the thread as a form of public masturbation.

Most important, however, is my lack of a capital letter universe. I have mentioned this perviously, in passing. Since my teenage years, I have never had the capacity to capital-letter either the culture or the environmant in which I exist. I will specifically, on this point, take your statement: "...but be prepared to discuss Karl Jaspers or--heavens worse--Kierkegaard while we play." I cannot, nor do I have the inclination to, do either. In a certain ad hoc fashion, I am brilliant. Judged by my ability to attribute my thoughts to Thinkers of The Past or Present, I am an imbecile. (Example: The recent tiff about Global Warming. Both sides relied on Expertise. I view it as a condition to which we are contributing, but in no way controlling. And about which we have relatively little control, despite who might win the yea or nay argument.)

Anyway, I feel the space devoted to CH's laving was rather intrusive and unnecessary. In no way to do with intimacy or lust, simply with sort of baseness. (I have been exposed to a point of view that held we, as cultivated creatures, avoid baseness as much as possible. Burping, farting, dribbling in front of others. But, when it comes to sex, we are the slaves of baseness - doing everything that we, otherwise, would never think of doing. And I feel the laving, even more the peering or leering to look at pudenda, was without class.)

I am not inclined to become a butterfly pinned on your specimen board. Yet, I find you absolutely fascinating in your attempt to play both the intellectual and the genital games concurrently.

If you take this post as a slap, you are less that I thought. You are, I believe, a creature of a different sphere from mine. geo
