Eric, Thanx for your sincere comment. The problem with me (and most here) is, even though I can evaluate a product and company fairly successfully, the stock price remains an enigma. Juniper and Redback...and the coming up Frontier. I KNOW they are great companies with great products. So is Linux. I guess it will recieve a lot more attention than you anticipate. Purely because MSFT is not what it used to be. Its been chastised. Look at the newer MSFT offerings, they are mediocre and not as glaringly successful. The business community will prefer to promote Linux as a parallel. The serious users prefer Unix anyway for serious computing needs. So I'm not ready to give up on Linux yet. So Linux IMO is not a mania. But stock price ? Who knows what it will be worth tomorrow ? FA is not what it used to be.....I guess HJ and all here have a better handle on the subject than I have and they have their account balances to prove that. I base my decisions on relative pricing - and I may be wrong in the long run...... BWDIK ?
