Jim,

I don't remember the details about Nextel's current spectrum neither. I think it used to be MOT's paging network??? But I thought the C block was specifically reserved for small companies. In fact, didn't nextwave at one time went through hell when they were challenged about the underlying ownership?

Ramsey

Jim - I thought Nextel wasn't using GSM/TDMA but is using their own proprietary technology developed in combination with Motorola. I think it is a time-division multiplexing method but not officially TDMA. Tom

Ramsey, Correction - the Gregg Powers post I referred to was about Omnipoint (or someone else), not Nextel. Sorry for the confusion and thread drift.

Remeber that the FCC OWES QC something from this last ruling since they did NOT get preferntial treatment from any poineer lic. I would expect that IF nextel does something with Nextwave, they would do it only wiht QC's approval.
