I actually use American Express Web Site for monitoring credit card accounts, and as anyone who's used it can tell you, it's TERRIBLE. However, no one can argue that if AXP decides to spend $250mil to get into this industry, it could become very formidable. They would also have to overcome the notion of a credit card investment and travel related services company, becoming a full service banker/broker as well.
