Wait, but wouldn't a wafer shortage fit in with Greenspan paranoia?

You know me too well Ian, and you are right about me signing in here. As many readers know, we were putting the hard press on WFR since last Thursday. Even this morning we were printing more and more reasons as to why a delayed reaction might take place<GGG>.

Without going back and reading some of the prior posts (which I will do after this), we all had to see the handwriting on the wall when VEBA did the private funding and the subsequent Rights Offering scenario. We told everyone to keep their positions and to do the Rights AND to beef up the position so they would not be diluted.

The $6.88 Rights and $6.38 purchases look like gifts now, much like the $3-$4 late last year.<GGG>

Everyone here has always been savvy enough to realize that all the equipment and manufacturing capacity in the world means nothing if you don't have the starting material. I am surprised it took the street so long (a week) to fully comprehend the obvious.<GGG>

Anyway, you are right. You post and I see it and can't help but respond<GGG>

BTW-Zeev hit the nail right on the head by posting #4440 here on this thread. That was as much a fair warning this was going to happen as anything else. Makes all of us wonder why it took so long for the street to add 2 plus 2.

If I were not going on vacation, I would post all the stuff we have published on the subject of WFR recently. Certainly we did not cause this run on the stock<GG>.
