I have heard you mention this "self-evident" stuff and for want of time have not been able to get to the bottom of it. What is your proof for this "self-evidence?">> The messengers from the all powerful Creater and Sustainer of the Universe, have all referenced it. None of them has ever been shown to be a liar. Corroboration among a large mass of witnesses that are above reproach is one proof. In the Quran it states that I am born with a knowledge of the truth. In the Quran it states that if I know truth, I will find it confirmed in God's word. It also states that if I am seeking truth I will find it in God's word. I haven't found anything to this date in the Quran that brings doubt on these statements. If the Quran (or whatever scriptures you study) confirm what is the obvious and simple truth of human existance as I know it in my heart, then this is evidence of the existance of "self evident truth" existing a priori.
