I don't normally read this thread, but I figured I would today to see what the mood is. I can't believe that the price went up as much as it did on Friday. I'm definitely looking at buying puts Monday morning. Do you think that people will have gotten the clue this weekend, or will I still have a chance to buy at these levels?

What about August puts? Certainly never done anything like that, but something _has_ to give in the next week. These are large customers, they are really pissed off, and they're not going to forget about this. Curious for opinions.

Regards,

Doug

To ISP Investor, thanks for the suggestion about buying Sept 75 puts. And thanks to JM and Tunica for relevant postings.

In light of the surprising runup on Friday, it's difficult to predict what WCOM will do tomorrow. The negative publicity has been all over the media and may impact the price Monday morning, but this too will pass if the problem has been fixed. More threatening may be the forthcoming lawsuits, and in this litigous society, we should anticipate a flood of legal suits. Buying those puts may be a smart hedge.
