That was sort of my husband's feeling about Shall We Dance.

I thought it was about something not unimportant at all. About a few things not unimportant, even. It is told intimately. But if you tried to explicate the metaphors, you'd be talking about important human things, I think. Values. And all.

It is a lovely movie.

Maybe my favorite movie is Jim Jarmusch's Down By Law. If you see it, don't be put off by the first 20 minutes or so, which are just context.

It's ridiculous for me to have movie opinions. I know nothing about movies.
