Softbank seems to be holding up fairly well. Timing has always been one of my weak points. The worst thing is to be out when your target stock begins a strong upward move and waiting for a small correction to get back in. What's bad is never getting that correction and never getting back in. <G>. The latest deal with Microsoft and wireless looks pretty promising. Since it is an Internet deal they can lose money for a couple of years as long as they sign up customers quickly. That appears to be the plan.

I was mulling over the possibility that someone might want to take over Softbank. There are no such rumors, but how about Microsoft? Softbank is still quite small in capitalization in comparison to Microsoft and such a merger would provide a resting place for Microsoft's Internet investments. I think I suggested a Softbank tracking stock that would include the MSN Network and all of the other Microsoft Internet Investments that they appear to be planning to house in a Microsoft Internet Tracking Stock. I think I prefer an independent Softbank, but such a deal might make sense for Microsoft as an alternative to creating their own tracking stock. Just more wild speculation for entertainment purposes only. <G>.
