Regarding: Can anyone honestly say that Compaq isn't timing its announcements to upstage DELL's earnings report.

We can see that one from a mile away. Just hold steady. Tuesday will be an interesting day and Dell hopefully will deliver. Let's stay focused, stick to the race and persevere. The battle is won in the long-run and not based on one year. The foundation is intact. And the future is bright, so get some shades!!

Can anyone honestly say that Compaq isn't timing its announcements to upstage DELL's earnings report.

It has to be a coincidence...to repeatedly time announcements to upstage another company's earnings report would be childish. The timing would have no effect on the actual business so it becomes a momentary perception issue. Any effect would be measured in terms of days, if not hours. I ask you...could the board of directors of a major company be so juvenile as to time announcements to upstage a competitors earnings report? <g>
