Re: "I sell puts because I know there is an endless supply of suckers who will line up to throw their money away on a dog like this one."

You must not know what a put is. If you buy a put from someone, you are speculating that the stock will go DOWN. These are the suckers you refer to? Maybe (likely) you are confused.

AMD at $18+ and Athlon is MIA.... As an investor, I'd be more worried if the Athlon had been here for a while and the stock was still stuck at $18.

As far as Paul's huge Intel position, I laugh every time I hear about it. He worked there what, a couple of years in the early eighties, when companies were more frugal with options (especially to midlevel management)? He then "left" Intel, losing all those unvested shares, and went to work for a couple other semi companies over the next few years--but somehow he stayed in love with Intel and had so much loyalty he added constantly to his position? If you buy that, I've got a bridge in pretty good shape, as well as a truck full of Athlon boxes I'd be willing to sell.

Kevin
