RE: "BTW, I've taken 80% of my profit off the table within the last three weeks. I've let my losers ride...they are NASD 100 quality stocks."

I went through a phase where I implemented the same strategy back in the late 70's. I ended up with lots of profits upon which to pay capital gains tax and a stock portfolio filled with a bunch of dogs.

Best wishes,

I2

Anything to make you happy, Happy. Figuring in my small ULtrabear Fund hedge I'm effectively at about 45-55

equity-(fixed and cash) now. I want a high cash level now so I can quickly move to a much more heavily hedged and/or somewhat short position should Bob's call or my concern for market conditions warrant. Be aware your "NASD 100 quality stocks" are the ones that will likely get slammed the worst if we should hit a bear. Don't know where we'll end the day but so far looks like another day of probable distribution with down volume way outpacing up volume and the major indexes spinning their wheels
