Lousy day for anyone looking for a sustainable bull. We're back well over 11K on the slowest volume of the year, negative breadth and down volume exceeding up volume. Wonder if we might be looking at potential of some final testing action here Marc

How much more quickly does a high cash level now permit you to move to a "much more heavily hedged and/or somewhat short position"? I don't understand the relationship. With about 20 stocks and mutual funds, I believe I could move entirely to cash in about 20 minutes for the stocks and less than a day for the mutual funds. Shorting might take another 10 minutes. Hopefully that will be quick enough in an "emergency". Otherwise, I will gradually pare my holdings if the market rises. Regards, Gary
