Botex Industries Corp. is pleased to announce that it has installed two Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) milling machines at its production facilities in Langley, B.C. With the installation of these two machines, the Company has removed a significant bottleneck in the production of both prototype and production moulds. The turnaround time on moulds has now been reduced from weeks to days (or even hours) with the addition of internal mould making capabilities. The Company also expects to greatly reduce the cost of moulds by producing them internally instead of outsourcing this production to local suppliers.

Essentially, the CNC milling machines are fully automated, computer controlled, multi-bit cutting machines. This state of the art equipment is capable of performing the exacting precision required to craft the moulds used in creating Botex products.

Botex is a plastic-based liquid resin that can be cured to make rubber-like products that combine the elastomeric properties of rubber with the superior abrasion and wear characteristics of plastic. Botex utilizes proprietary flat moulding and dip moulding processes to create multi-coloured products which can be of a single or multiple density. All colours and densities are chemically bonded together in a single application resulting in an end product which is both functionally and cosmetically superior to rubber products. Botex products are U.V. protected, anti-bacterial and free of any harmful phthalates. The Company currently manufactures products for the shoe industry, aqua gear market, sports medicine, industrial and other vertical markets.
