I'm shocked shocked that there is skullduggery afoot! Of course Ali Agca was supported by someone. The commies had good reason to fear John Paul II, look at what happened in 1989. That was a direct result of John Paul's visits to Poland. Of course, he had help from Lech Walesa who had help from William Casey and Lane Kirkland. The story that interests me more is the death (murder?) of Pope John Paul I. It was rumored that "the smiling pope" was ready to initiate major reforms within the Vatican and he was gonna chop off a few heads. This story is elucidated by David Yallop in his book In God's Name, which I have here in the house but have not read yet.
