I see that you're off to a good start for the day. I have discovered the main flaw to high deductibles on a policy..... had three separate storms in a ten day period cause some damage ... and the deductible didn't get reached in any separately, but put together and it is a fairly sizable (for me) lick ...... so instead of having everything fixed and letting the insurance company pay ... ol dummy here is paying for all ...... ggggggggg Main cost is the airconditioner compressor unit ... I see no reason to just replace the outside unit which was the only thing damaged due to the EER factors. A new one just to replace the damaged one will run a little less than 2 grand , but I'm going to put in entire unit and there goes about 4k..... this is the one to the upstairs area and where my trading office is located .... the downstairs unit is on the other side of the house where the big deck is and neither of them got hurt ... thank heavens .... storage building (read shed) had to be demolished and hauled off and part of the deck was damaged and that has necessitated overhaul of the whole deck on the north side of the house .... about 600 sq ft ... damage only got about 100 ft but as the surface was 75/80 yr old 3 1/2 inch thick cypress ... there isn't too much of that stuff available at Home Depot .... so again ... tear out the entire deal, shore up some of the underpining, play architect and make the old material blend in with the new ...... really, I'm having fun, tho ..... glad to be outside and doing some physical work after being cooped up and weakened with this illness.... I got to laughing late Saturday afternoon and my laborers couldn't figure out what I had gone crazy about .... that made the 17th straight day of over a hundred ... yesterday made 19 .... and I got to thinking about all the folks who got sent home because the a/c wasn't working ..... not too much a/c outside my house and I put in two seven hour days working just as hard as any of my hands .... 18, 30 and 35 .... they found out this old gringo can still do more than give directions ...... ggggggggg Maybe I'll get finished tomorrow and I'll be able to join ya'll in trading ...... I've been working some at night on the computer and the market ..... and I think I'll be making about 40 trades a day when I get here ....... LOL Ol Creaky
