Mogul, that is my question as well. What are they thinking dumping this many shares into a market like this? And frankly I am not that impressed by their service either.

Mark: It was a rather dense article and these kind of compensation issues/plans make my hair hurt, but the concern that I see is the potential conflict of interest -- where a deal/investment might be more lucrative for the senior managers if it is pursued by the Venture arm instead of by the parent (CMGI).

I agree with you: I trust David and his team as among the truly bright-lights of internet investing. Everything they have done up to this point has been very beneficial to CMGI shareholders. But this dual compensation arrangement, especially with the numbers swelling as they have been over the past year or so, sets up an inevitable conflict of interest of major proportions. I would like to think that David and the BOD will take a hard look at this and recognize that there is plenty of "return" to go around without having the special carve-out deals that they set-up years ago.

Best regards,

Pete
