If I were Intel, I would deperately hope it can severly narrow the gap between Katmai and Athlon across the board.

Well I had been led to believe that coppermine would be competitive with the K7.

a 3-10% improvement doesnot bode well for Coppermine at all.

And the improvement with 133 memory was less than stunning.

Now maybe these are erroneous because they use beta silicon and boards/chipsets.

But if the real product comes out this way then Intel has a long year ahead of it.
