I agree with Alan...no CNBC during the day, no news, just monitoring and trading...if it's a really slow day, I might do a little bit of research, too...

Although I have Level 2 and have used it to great advantage, it seems that just watching the charts for setups is my main activity during the trading day...

Ditto for me, no news.

I listen to my CD's. I don't watch anything but charts with price and volume. I work off my prior nights research. I check the pre-opening news on CBS Market Watch, just so I will know if things look to be opening up or down. After 10:00 am I just watch the Dow, Nas, and S&P indexes for my commentary.

ie
have a group of stocks (same sector or index) that you watch besides price movement of stock?
do you consider option action?
