AboveNet President, Director To Sell A Combined
1.3M Shares (ABOV)

(NewsTraders.com)-- The president and a director at AboveNet
Communications Inc. (ABOV) have registered a combined 1.3 million common
shares for sale worth about $33 million, according to Form 144 filings released
late yesterday.

President Warren Kaplan registered 600,000 shares with a value of about
$15.2 million. Kaplan is using CIBC World Markets and Volpe Brown Whelan
Co. as his brokers, and set Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 as the planned dates of sale.

Director Kimball Small and his wife Martha, meanwhile, plan to dispose of
$17.8 million of stock, or 710,000 shares. The Smalls listed Aug. 11 as the
proposed sale date and named CIBC World Markets to handle the transaction.

AboveNet currently has 31.1 million shares outstanding.

Shares of the San Jose, Calif.-based company were recently up $0.13 at
$34.13.
