Anybody here have any insight on a couple of broker dealers named Gore Horvath and Donner Corp. International? They put out recommendations, usually similarly worded and a couple of months apart, on POS stocks. In at least one case I can document, Donner took stock from one of the companies.

They've both recently recommended Trimedyne (TMED). TMED has had a checkered history although it has some interesting products in the pipeline. The CFO denies that there has been any compensation paid to either tout, although he has heard rumor that there's some relationship between them. However, he's fairly new and I am less than fully confident that he has the full story.

Aside from the fact that both companies are located in southern Calif. (Long Beach & Santa Ana) and both have recommended the same companies (ITRO, GEB, CYP, now TMED), I haven't yet found any connection between them, but I have no doubt that there is one. I've only found one other company that either one has published a recommendation on (Donner on MSSI).

Here are the names I've found associated with the companies:
Gore Horvath: Chet Saguyod, Peter Vanderklish
Donner Corp. International: Jeff Baclet, Robert Oak

I don't mean to cast any opinion one way or the other on TMED yet; it's certainly possible they have no involvement in this. Perhaps these touts publish their 2-bit recommendations and then go pitch the company on providing financial advice, for a fee or for stock.

Was hoping somebody here might have run into the companies or people somewhere along the line.
