Ok, just pointing. Tuck pointing must be a local term or one for geezers.

He was telling me about digging around in the mortar with a screwdriver and then sealing it over. It's never cracked or fallen out even with the expansion and contraction of the seasons. The walls are solid brick 18" thick. My great grandfather had a kiln built, raised the straw and had the clay mined from his own creek to make the bricks. The current owner has the original blue prints.

It's been years since I was in it but it's a big place, I'd guess 8 to 10 thousand square feet not counting the attic or cellar.

This house you like now, is it in the right area? Is it handy to where you want to go? I like quad levels but my wife doesn't like stairs. When do you start haggling on the price?
