Good morning Sig,

I've been all over Dell's financials. I read them and reread them last night, and again this morning. It is impossible for me to find anything negative in the report (and believe me, I looked hard)!

Profits increased because Dell is showing robust increases in sales in the higher margined lines -- enterprise and notebooks. I assume that non-system peripherals are also higher margined. Expenses can be expected to decline as the preferred sales medium (the internet) continues to garner a greater portion of sales. But most interesting to me is the increase in ROIC because it is indicative of new facilities coming on-line with high efficiency.

There were two drags on growth: Europe (24% yoy) and Latin America (which was not discussed in the report). But Asian revenue growth outpaced the rest of the company.

But once again, I must caution the thread that revenue growth will inevitably continue to decline as Dell grows market share.

TTFN,
CTC
