The spelling check happens when you preview your response. Words that it thinks are misspelled show up in red. It's pretty good except that it wants "internet" to be capitalized, misses on a few company names, and gets confused by square brackets and a few other odd glyphs of that nature.

You are correct. The SI "spell checker" won't correct misspelled words, only points them out.

You could type your message in Netscape or IE and copy and paste to SI. Not a whole lot of additional trouble.
