Mark, How bright he is, is purely a judgement call Education: bachelor's degree, George Washington University, 1968; masters degree, Brown University, 1969; law degree, Duke Law School, 1973 Seems you are not exactly Jethro if you do this plus be one of the younger appeals court judges ever appointed.his trying to bolt a sinking ship in mid stream for a better job was one example most folks would call 17 convictions not exactly sinking.allegations of intimidation, threats, let's see, holding one in a luxury hotel against her will....yeah that is cause for worry....think they might have taken away her complementary showercap? Or maybe you are speaking of S. McDougal, who IMO thought jail was better than dead.setting himself up to be prosecutor, judge, juryor, and witness is another While I think he does not play politics well, what I saw of him testifying, he did everything possible to tell them that his job was to give them the info, and telling them in effect it was worthy of pursuit. evidently another judge thought so as Clinton had a pretty good fine levied against him recently. I also seem to remember that Starr's own ethics advisor resigned on him This was the biggest set up in history, IMO. BUT,, Starr is not the one who made public the report. Even if he had wanted it published all the commission had to say was no way. But , all that is past...we have a sitting impeached pres. and things go on. Starr will live out his life (maybe being vilified by the Dems. but big deal, we all have neighbors with barking dogs, and he will be just fine. Maybe the Dems can hold on to Starr long enough to get Hillary elected in NY. :o) BTW, did you hear Jackie Mason's comments about Hillary,Jews and Nazis and the Japanese Emperor? dan
