If you thought that intel was a big menace for ATI, that's a good news, but since when good news are affecting ATI, something is wrong :) or maybe it's the fact that (not even one year of history-> nvda is up 10%) so maybe after hearing Nvidia in the CC saying that they were the biggest TSMC customers(a plain lie) ANALyst decided to believe everything else they add to say. ATY shareholders should be interested in these comments
on TSMC ? one of ATI?s main foundry suppliers. The
tightening of foundry capacity is good news for ATI as it is
one of the largest and long time customers of both TSMC
and UMC. A tightening capacity situation would tend to
favour ATI over its smaller, more volatile competitors as
the foundries tend to reserve capacity only for their largest
customers.

You are missing the fact that Intel maybe getting out of
the discrete graphics market but they still will be selling the Integrated i810. For the lowend market, discrete graphics chips will soon be gone. NO OEM is going to buy a discrete graphics chip when they can buy an integrated chip for more or less the same price, resulting in lower inventory and assembly costs.
