Jon, I agree with some of the things you said but must "pick a bone" on the hypocrisy thing. If you have lived enough life in enough places, you would know that some of the greatest reformers of sinners are those who have sinned themselves and seen the error of their ways. They know,first hand, the wrongness of the action and are better qualified to deal with that problem in others. That is why, ex-drunks are more effective in helping active drunks get off the sauce and rehabilitated. So, where is the hypocrisy here?

BTW, when I mentioned sin above, I was not trying to sound religious but used the term as all encompassing for the myriad offenses done by so many people...TD
