rmbs said they are moving into new unannounced businesses. telecommunications was mentioned. we know that rmbs was recently hiring engineers with that background.

i understand that the nec v830r uses rambus technology. check it out and notice the applications.
unbelievable potential imo.
nec of course is producing rdram now.

It seems as if IBM may be in the mix short-term, but not for the long-term. My cousin works for IBM (18 years), we were speaking about Rambus recently and he indicated that sometime in the not-so-distant future IBM will discontinue producing dram of any sort.

Obviously there is no official announcement, but this is what he tells me.

And of course, my interest in Rambus is looonng.
