Unless I am mistaken, Larry Klayman was not deputized to prosecute felonies by the Attorney General. It's a civil suit, and the speech and debate clause definitely applies. The Supreme Court has interpreted the clause very broadly to include such things as defamatory statements in press conferences and acts by staff members.
